Space suit materials developed by STF Technologies under work supported by the NASA SBIR/STTR program have been selected as part of the Lunar Regolith Adherence Characterization Experiment. The experiment will determine how lunar regolith sticks to a range of materials exposed to the Moon’s environment. The results will be used to improve advanced space suit materials to protect against damage from abrasive Lunar dust particles.
The experiment is currently scheduled to launch in 2024 as part of Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1.
